Nutrition is one of those sciences that always seems to be changing…it can be overwhelming and confusing. But when you think about the evolution of medicine, which has been a science and practice for several hundred years and that the first vitamin wasn’t isolated until 1926, it starts to make sense. As the science of nutrition evolves, new research challenges old ideas.
One thing that doesn’t change, if you eat a variety of foods in moderation, enjoy meals with family and friends, and eat food that started in your recipe close to its original state, you’ll likely be meeting your nutritional needs, and build a health relationship with food.
If you need to see a nutrition professional, seek the advice of a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. You can find one at www.eatright.org.
