February - Make Heart Healthy Eating a Habit!

Here are some simple tips:

  • Include healthy fats like olive oil and avocado oil (a teaspoon of flavor infused olive oil, like that tasted on the Savor and Stroll tour goes a LONG way to flavor salads!)

  • Include other foods high in heart healthy fats, like walnuts, flax seed, and fatty fish such as salmon and tuna

  • Eat lots of fruits and vegetables to benefit from the potassium, other minerals and phytochemicals

  • Choose whole grains, the fiber helps manage weight and helps you feel full
